Lighting a Path to Positive Relationships

 

Hundreds of Darien residents have been victims of domestic violence and many more have gone unreported. Domestic abuse takes a physical and psychological toll on the victim and the family. The Darien Domestic Abuse Council is committed to promoting the education, awareness and prevention of domestic abuse in the community of Darien, CT.

OCTOBER IS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH!!

Caroline Nicholls and Riley Scallen from RespectWorks, the Darien Domestic Abuse Council’s youth outreach group, hang purple ribbons through downtown Darien. Ribbons are hung to honor the 32 victims of DV who died this past year in CT and bring attention to October, Domestic Violence Awareness month.

CAMP HOPE

The Darien Domestic Abuse Council is proud to support Camp Hope, a camp sponsored by The Center for Family Justice in Bridgeport for all children throughout the State.
